Two people were killed and three others injured in Abu Dhabi after debris from an intercepted Iranian missile fell onto a road on the city’s outskirts, according to officials in the United Arab Emirates. The victims were identified as a Pakistani man and an Indian man, highlighting the growing civilian impact of the escalating regional conflict.

The incident came as Iran launched a wave of missiles and drones targeting multiple countries in the Gulf. Emirati officials said their air defenses successfully intercepted 15 ballistic missiles and 11 drones, preventing potentially greater damage. However, the falling debris from these interceptions still posed deadly risks on the ground.

Other countries in the region also reported attacks. Saudi Arabia intercepted dozens of drones aimed at its oil-rich eastern region, while Kuwait and Bahrain reported intercepting drones and responding to damage caused by airstrikes. Despite the scale of the attacks, no additional casualties were reported outside the UAE.

In response, six Arab nations issued a joint statement condemning Iran’s actions and calling for an end to attacks carried out by Iran-backed groups operating from Iraq. Meanwhile, Kuwaiti authorities announced they had disrupted a suspected terror plot linked to Hezbollah, further underscoring the rising tensions and security threats across the region.
